Terms of Service
Last Updated: October 30, 2026
Welcome to The Accidental Buyer's Course. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website www.accidentalbuyer.com and the course, templates, community, and related services (collectively, the "Services") provided by The Accidental Buyer's Course ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract to use our Services. By using our Services, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.
2. Account Registration
To access the course, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
3. Course Access and License
Upon purchase, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the course materials for your personal, non-commercial educational purposes. This license does not include the right to resell, redistribute, reproduce, or share the course content, modify or create derivative works from the course materials, use the materials in a competing product or service, or share your login credentials with others.
4. Downloadable Templates and Resources
Certain course modules include downloadable templates (such as the Requirements Gathering Template, Vendor Scorecard, POC Scorecard, and others). These templates are licensed for your personal and professional use. You may use the templates in your own business activities, customize and modify them for your needs, and share completed (filled-in) templates within your organization. You may not resell or distribute the blank templates, include them in a competing product or training, or claim authorship of the template designs.
5. Community Guidelines (The Deal Den)
Our community space ("The Deal Den") is provided for members to connect, share experiences, and support one another. By participating, you agree to be respectful and professional in all interactions, not share confidential or proprietary information belonging to your employer or vendors, not engage in spam, self-promotion, or solicitation, not post offensive, harassing, or discriminatory content, and not share your community access with non-members. We reserve the right to remove content and suspend or terminate access for violations of these guidelines.
6. Payment and Refunds
All prices are listed in the currency shown at checkout. Payment is processed securely through our third-party payment processor. Due to the digital nature of our course content, all sales are final. However, if you are unsatisfied with your purchase, please contact us at [email protected] within 14 days of purchase and we will work with you to resolve any concerns.
7. Intellectual Property
All content included in the Services — including but not limited to course videos, text, graphics, logos, templates, and software — is the property of The Accidental Buyer's Course and is protected by Canadian and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service without our prior written consent.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. The course content is educational in nature and does not constitute professional procurement, legal, or financial advice. Your use of any information or materials in the course is entirely at your own risk.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Accidental Buyer's Course and its owner, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your access to or use of the Services.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless The Accidental Buyer's Course and its owner, employees, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Services or your violation of these Terms.
11. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the Services immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Services will immediately cease.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Canada, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
13. Changes to These Terms
